Cozy establishment located in a unique building (former schools) in the center of Montánchez, just 20 meters from the Main Square and 600 meters from the Castle. The hostel has a ground floor with a paid private garage, and two upper floors accessible by stairs or elevator, where the reception and rooms are located. It offers 20 fully equipped rooms, including double rooms (with double or twin beds, some with balconies) and family rooms (some with living room and kitchen). Montánchez, with a peak of 980 meters, offers hiking routes (Castle, Robledo, Molinos, Castañar, and Salor River source) and activities like walking, cycling, paragliding, and birdwatching. The town is known for its ham shops and wineries offering tastings. Highlights include the Castle, the Hermitage of Our Lady of Consolation, the award-winning cemetery (Spain’s most beautiful in 2015), and nearby hermitages. Also noteworthy is the Visigothic Basilica of Santa Lucía del Trampal (7th century), one of the best preserved in southern Iberia, just 20 minutes away.
