Kamo Residences by Reflections, a luxury boutique hotel, sits on the bank of the Kamo River, with panoramic views of the famous Higashiyama mountains. Our property offers six luxury suites with modern Japanese motifs in a setting inspired by international, minimalistic art deco architecture. It was built near the Kamogawa Delta and has been favoured by Japanese noble lineage since the 17th Century. Materials and furniture come from Europe and the Far East, with Japanese design motifs woven throughout. The quality and finish are unlike those of large, mass-produced five-star hotel groups—rather, they are in line with the feel and execution of high-end residential design: solid, beautiful, and eminently usable. Suites have smart in-room technology and entertainment, full kitchens with microwaves, and washer-dryers. Bedrooms feature high-end pillow-top beds with silky-smooth bedding. Bathrooms are appointed with Aesop amenities for a refined sensory experience. The panoramic rooftop terrace features Technogym fitness equipment. It serves as a setting for seasonal grill dining with a private chef, blending movement, relaxation, and Kyoto’s seasonal flavours. Our hospitality is shaped by rhythm, refinement, and privacy. Mornings may begin with a riverside walk—often accompanied by our signature Kamo Bento morning, a beautifully composed and locally inspired breakfast experience that has become one of our most recognized offerings. Days unfold through tailored experiences, such as private tea ceremonies or curated gallery visits. Tailored tours may include an expert local guide and chauffeured limousine service for seamless exploration of Kyoto and its surroundings. Evenings may begin with reservations arranged by our expert concierge, ranging from one to three-Michelin-starred fine dining to casual, authentic local favourites.
